Since joining American Express in 2001, CP has held a series of multi-market roles of increasing responsibility and operating first from
Gurgaon, later Phoenix and most recently London. Prior to his current role, he led the Integrated Marketing Solutions (IMS) team which
was responsible for developing and deploying central marketing solutions across American Express’s global consumer business.
For 5+ years in GNICS and before assuming his global role within IMS, he and his team played a significant role in accelerating
digitizing the business and driving strong marketplace differentiation and superior results. Notable among this is the transformation of
acquisition to have Digital Acquisition reach over 70% of billings acquired. The momentum in Digital Acquisition as well as other areas
supported by his team is accelerating and contributing to GNICS’ strong business performance and market share gains. Before
transitioning to a central marketing role in GNICS, he was head of Global Fraud Risk Management. In this capacity, his team achieved
industry-leading fraud loss and customer experience results. Additionally, CP led the acquisition of Accertify, Inc – now a subsidiary of
Global Merchant Services. Prior to joining American Express, CP worked in GE in credit risk management after a brief stint as an IT
consultant in India.
