John Donovan, AT&T, Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Donovan is chief technology officer for AT&T. In this role, he oversees the company’s global technology direction and innovation road map, including product development, network and engineering operations, AT&T Labs and the security and intellectual property organizations. Mr. Donovan previously was executive vice president of product, sales, marketing and operations at Verisign Inc., a technology company that provides Internet infrastructure services. At VeriSign, Mr. Donovan was responsible for leading VeriSign’s global sales organization, driving the expansion of broad solutions offerings, and integrating a global professional services capability. Before that, he was chairman and CEO of inCode Telecom Group Inc., where he helped shape strategic direction and positioning for wireless network operators around the globe. Previously, Mr. Donovan was a partner with Deloitte Consulting, where he was the Americas Industry Practice director for telecom. He is a director of the board of 2Wire and services as chairman of the board of the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS). He has authored two books, The Value Enterprise, published in January 1998, and Value Creating Growth, published in 1999. Mr. Donovan received a B.S.E.E. from the University of Notre Dame and earned an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Minnesota.

Erick Tseng, Facebook, Head of Mobile Products
Erick joined Facebook in May 2010 as the company’s Head of Mobile Products. Previously, he had worked at Google for nearly 4 years, where he helped launch and grow Android, Google’s open source mobile operating system, as the group’s Lead Product Manager. Erick began at Google as a Product Manager for Mobile Search. He then joined the Android team, where he proceeded to launch Android 1.0, as well as subsequent platform releases. Most recently, he led the overall development and launch of Google’s Nexus One phone. Before joining Google, Erick was an Associate at McKinsey & Company, a management consulting firm. He has also held various product management and engineering positions at Microsoft, Yahoo!, and the MIT Media Lab. Erick received Bachelors and Masters degrees in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering from MIT, as well as an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he graduated with top honors as an Arjay Miller Scholar. -

Jason is the Director of Mobile at Google. Formerly, he was responsible for global marketing activities in AdMob’s more than 160 country markets. Jason brings more than 7 years of experience in the mobile space in Product, Marketing and General Management functions. Before joining AdMob, Jason was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Redpoint Ventures where he focused on mobile applications, services and infrastructure. Prior to Redpoint, Jason was SVP Marketing at Digital Chocolate where he was responsible for worldwide product, marketing and distribution. Omar Hamoui, Google, VP Mobile Ads
Omar Hamoui is Vice President of Mobile Ads at Google. Formerly, he was Founder and CEO of AdMob, and member of the company’s board of directors. He founded AdMob in January 2006 while in the MBA program at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Previously, Omar started and ran several companies in the mobile, Internet, and computer software industries including Vertical Blue, GoPix and fotochatter, a mobile to mobile image sharing network. Si Shen, PapayaMobile, Co-Founder & CEO
Si Shen is Co-Founder and CEO of PapayaMobile Inc. which is one of the biggest mobile social networks and mobile social game developers on Android. Papaya has 3.5 million registered users in the US and Europe although the company is based in Beijing. Papaya has recently opened its platform for third-party developers to develop their applications through Papaya’s SDKs and open APIs. PapayaMobile was invested by DCM. Before starting PapayaMobile, Si was the product lead for mobile in Google Beijing. She used to be a product manager for search and mobile advertising in Google Mountain View. Si got her master’s degrees in Computer Science and Manage Science and Engineering from Stanford, and her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Tsinghua University.

Anand Iyer, Microsoft, Senior Project Manager, Windows Phone 7 Team
Anand is a Senior Product Manager on Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 team. He works on the Application Developer Experience of the platform and is responsible in productizing the platform for consumption by Startups, Students and Hobbyists. Anand joined Microsoft in January 2005 as an Evangelist, Microsoft’s ambassador to the Silicon Valley. During his tenure there, he has been in the midst of several launches, such as Visual Studio, SQL Server, Vista, Office and many others. Anand is actively involved in the startup community in the Silicon Valley and liaises with Microsoft corporate development teams and startup companies. Before joining Microsoft, Anand worked for Cisco Systems’ New Business Ventures team, pioneering XML-based manageability solutions. Anand has extensive experience software methodologies, and has worked on several development platforms. Anand has also earned two patent awards related to manageability solutions on networking platforms. Anand has a degree in Computer Engineering from Purdue University. -

Jörg Brakensiek is a Principle Member of Research Staff and Research Leader in Nokia Research Center, Palo Alto, California. His work focuses on ubiquitous mobile device interoperability with a specific focus on the automotive domain. He is currently heading a team in this area, working closely with multiple external partners around the globe. Jörg received his PhD in engineering from the University of Dortmund, Germany in 1999. He then joined Nokia Research Center, where he worked on Computing Architecture projects, including SoC architectures, reconfigurable accelerators, multi-processors and mobile virtualization. As part of his research, Jörg has been involved in the definition and execution of multiple national and European funded research projects in this domain. -

Stewart Putney is Founder and CEO of Moblyng, the leading developer and publisher of HTML5-based games for web and mobile devices. Prior to Moblyng, Stewart co-founded iPlayMusic, an internationally distributed line of music creation and education software. Before co-founding iPlayMusic, Stewart was a Business Manager at Knight-Ridder Digital managing their local shopping and coupon product lines. He also has management experience with Electronic Arts, FusionOne and Pointcast. Stewart holds a BA in History from St. Lawrence University and an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. -

Greg Sterling is the founding principal of Sterling Market Intelligence (SMI), a consulting and research firm focused on the Internet’s influence on offline consumer purchase behavior. He also is a Senior Analyst for Internet2Go, an advisory service from Opus Research tracking the evolution of the mobile I nternet. Before SMI, Sterling ran The Kelsey Group’s Interactive Local Media program. Prior to The Kelsey Group, Sterling was at TechTV where he helped produce “Working the Web,” a national television show on e-business and the Internet. Before that he was a founding editor and executive producer at AllBusiness.com, and prior to joining AllBusiness, Sterling was a practicing attorney in San Francisco.
