Dinesh Moorjani, IAC Mobile, SVP
Dinesh Moorjani is the Sr. Vice President of Mobile for IAC. Prior to starting the Mobile Business in 2007, Mr. Moorjani was the VP of Strategy & Corporate Development at Citysearch. Previously, Mr. Moorjani built Digital Media businesses as the Director of Emerging Business & Technologies in the New Business Development Group at Samsung Electronics America. While at Samsung Chairman’s Office Global Strategy Group in Korea, he managed cross-border teams making operating and investment decisions throughout the US-Asia corridor. He has worked in the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs, and held various strategy consulting positions at Arthur D. Little and IBM Global Services. Mr. Moorjani helped co-found Saffronart, one of the largest online platforms for South Asian art auctions. He serves on numerous advisory boards of mobile and internet companies. Mr. Moorjani earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University and his MBA from Harvard Business School. -
Jason Spero, Google, Director, Mobile
Jason is the Director of Mobile at Google. Formerly, he was responsible for global marketing activities in AdMob’s more than 160 country markets. Jason brings more than 7 years of experience in the mobile space in Product, Marketing and General Management functions. Before joining AdMob, Jason was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Redpoint Ventures where he focused on mobile applications, services and infrastructure. Prior to Redpoint, Jason was SVP Marketing at Digital Chocolate where he was responsible for worldwide product, marketing and distribution. Jason launched some of DChoc’s most successful products including its Social Applications line. Jason holds a BA from Amherst College and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management. -
Matt Murphy, Kleiner Perkins iFund, Manager
Matt Murphy is a Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers where he manages the iFund at KPCB, an initiative with Apple and the iPhone platform, that focuses on defining applications for the mobile internet. Previously, Matt was a board observer at Google and a Director at Peakstream and Dash Navigation. Matt has also worked at Sun Microsystems as a business development leader for the Network Systems Group and Product Line Manager for networking platforms. He also has experience in strategic and technical consulting with Booz Allen & Hamilton and Accenture. Matt holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. -
Rich Wong, Accel, Partner
Richard joined Accel in 2006, with a focus on mobile, software, and energy technologies. Rich currently serves on the board of AdMob, the mobile advertising player, Parature, a leader in SaaS based customer support, SunRun, the leading provider of residential solar power, and Getjar Networks, the largest mobile development community and open mobile app store. Prior to Accel, Rich was SVP/GM of Products at Openwave and previously GM of Messaging Products, and Chief Marketing Officer at Openwave. Previously Rich was EVP/GM at Covad Communications, the DSL provider. Preceding Covad, he was a management consultant for McKinsey & Company and started his career as a Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble Rich holds a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. -
Russ McGuire, Sprint Nextel, VP Corporate Strategy
Russ is a leading strategist and visionary in the telecom industry. As VP of strategy for Sprint, he is responsible for developing the strategic vision and framework for the $40B+ telecommunications giant. Prior to joining Sprint, Russ was Chief Strategy Officer for TeleChoice. In this role he guided top executives from established and start-up telecom companies in developing core business and market strategies to leverage their capabilities into sustainable market positions. Additionally, he has been a regular columnist for Network World, Business Reform, and Success magazines. He is also the author of The Power of Mobility, a book about how businesses can prosper in the next technology revolution. -
Tim Chang, Norwest Venture Partners, Principal
Tim brings a combination of operational, technical and international business experience to Norwest Venture Partners. Tim focuses on investments in wireless and digital media as well as business development initiatives in Asia-Pacific. Tim led NVP’s investments in and joined the boards of directors of 3Jam, Brite Semiconductor, Lumos Labs and ngmoco. Tim also led NVP’s investment in PCH International, a turnkey global supply chain services firm based in Shenzhen. Tim works with the boards of deCarta, Double Fusion and Veveo. Tim holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar, and an MS in electrical engineering/system engineering as well as a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan. -
Walter Delph, News Corp Digital Media, VP Operations
Walter Delph is
Vice President, Operations for News Corp’s Digital Media Division. Previously he served as General Manager for Photobucket.com and Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development for Fox Interactive Media with a focus on gaming, mobile and social networking. Before FOX, he was on the founding team that launched Verizon’s Television and content business (FIOS TV and vCast.) Before that he held roles in both start-up companies and at large multi-national institutions (Time Warner and Goldman Sachs.) Mr. Delph holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Middlebury College.
