Please visit the MobileBeat 2010 website for information on this year’s two-day MobileBeat conference, which will explore the year of the superphone, who will profit from it, and how.   MobileBeat 2010 takes place on July 12-13 at The Palace Hotel in San Francisco. Click here for more information.

Introduction

Come listen to some of the brightest minds in mobile technology discuss the future of mobile technology. We’re gathering 400 of the most interesting mobile developers, investors, executives, entrepreneurs, marketers, and press for a day of in-depth discussion, debate and power networking.

MobileBeat 2009, along with Co-Host Qualcomm and Platinum Sponsor Velti, will explore the ramifications of this revolution: We will look at which specific applications are driving the excitement and why and we’ll look at what’s coming next.

MobileBeat will also explore other important questions: Will web-intensive applications, from GoTV to Hulu, be able to survive on mobile if carriers move to start charging more for broadband consumption? What will the previous gatekeepers, the carriers, do now? How about device makers, such as Nokia or Samsung? How will they respond to the spanking new, sexy devices like the iPhone? Where’s the ROI in mobile investments? Finally, what about the marketers and advertising networks? How will they respond to the changing landscape, where carriers and device makers still exert considerable control over the mobile experience?

Keynote

In the Opening Keynote Fireside Chat, “The Recipe for a Winning Mobile Platform,” we’ll ask leaders from Nokia, Google and Palm to share their strategies.

Keynote speakers

In addition to a great lineup of keynotes and panels, we’ll also feature a startup competition with 14 top application and services start ups who will have the chance to pitch to the audience.

We’ll have all the major players in one room, for intimate networking — from the major U.S and international carriers, to the top device makers (Palm SVP Michael Abbott will be the company’s first executive appearance since the Palm Pre’s launch this month), to the top developers and investors. Don’t miss the chance to join all the players in one room for intimate networking and deal-making!
